TO CRAFTS!
Are you a craft addict?! Do you live in the RVA vicinity? If so, I've got an event that you need not miss! It's the Crafters Anonymous Craft Swap put on by the Richmond Craft Mafia + the Richmond Etsy Street Team. If you've never been to a craft swap it is basically a big craft supply trade. It will be held on September 16, 2007 at Art Works - 320 Hull Street from 2 pm - 5 pm. In addition to the swap, there will also be group therapy tables set up where you can make cool stuff and also a crafty switchboard where you can put business cards and/or flyers for other crafty events. This one is also a benefit to support Art 180 , "a Richmond based non-profit organization that creates and provides art-related programs to young people living in challenging circumstances, encouraging personal and community change through self-expression." So, it's for an awesome cause too.
There are a 4 drop off locations so far and if you drop off your stuff ahead of time, you will receive a voucher to get in free!
